you can find me here…

and here…

I am loving East Nashville! I’ve picked up such great information from other business members, that has helped me with opening my studio. I am truly thankful.

Our Grand Opening is just days away now. I am getting so close to having everything organized!

I wanted to thank Tammy Derr, owner of Fairytales Bookstore & More , for donating a gift certificate as a door prize for our Grand Opening! Fairytales is a must shop store for children’s books, toys, art supplies and activites!

And  thanks to Greg White of Green Pergola, for donating a wonderful gift basket, which includes his amazing handmade natural soaps, bath salt and his new book! We are addicted to his soaps in our household, “garden gate!” is a must have…

Other door prizes include frames from Obrien & Schridde Design & Larson-Juhl, albums, gift certificates towards studio products, and the GRAND STUDIO prize of a  FREE session and a framed 16×20!

We have sweets coming from Sweet 16th a bakery, the most yummy couscous from Silly Goose, & MORE….

And live music from the awesome duo The Weatherfolk!

We hope you will join us this Saturday, starting at 5:00.

*** Don’t forget! I am offering 50% session fees & 10% off your portrait order, through Sept, as a Grand Opening special. ~limited space available~ schedule your free consultation SOON.***

my best friend.

My younger sister, only sister, only sibling, Dee Dee. My life-long friend.

We took time out during Jesse’s senior session to get a few shots of her and each other. I’m glad we did. I think Mom and Dad will be glad we did too.

We may have gotten a few serious shots, but this is how we usually need up. In hysterical laugherter! This is when our husbands and children usually run away. It’s just the best! All the years and stories, (I’ll mention my dinosaur models I came home to find all smashed up by little sister in a fit of anger because I wouldn’t let her tag along with me!) and joys and hardships, we have had each other to share and see each other through. My sister is truly one of life’s best blessings!

I’ll end this blog post with the photo of Dee Dee and son, Jesse. Poor Jesse, he will NEVER forget HIS senior portraits! I told Dee Dee, who was my reflector holding assistant, that I’d have to let her GO after working with me. She kept asking my client what his nationality was. We laughed about this through this part of his session and for the rest of the day! Actually, just thinking about it makes me still laugh. Priceless! That’s it.

Thanks for dropping in.. Keep laughing!

in photos!

Here are a few photos of our spot on Woodland.

Jim’s tomato cut out he created for the fest was a HUGE success! I couldn’t have kept up with photographing the hundreds of people who stopped and took their photos at our tomato’s! Here are all of the ones I did take and as promised to those I spoke with, here YOU are. I had a smile on my face all morning putting these together!

The heat was BRUTAL Saturday! I mean HOT! It was worth it making all the contacts I made, but I was so ready to get in my van with the air conditioner set on FULL BLAST when we set off for home! I don’t know what I would have done without Jim’s amazing help, as always! Tearing down and loading everything up was done like a snap. And we were glad we took off when we did. We weren’t home every long before a huge thunderstorm swept through with a down pour of rain!

______________________________

I entered the Bloody Mary contest lottery and was picked to participate! But I was WAY out of my league with this bunch. I’m taking homemade tomato juice, long lists of secert spices, and amazing garnishes! It was a lot of fun, even if I didn’t stand a chance of winning, which was obvious to me as soon as I saw the other’s preparing their concoctions!

Hope you enjoyed the snap shots! And thanks for stopping by the blog.

If  you see yourself here, I’d love to read a comment from you.

by Laurie Lehman…

First, get the IDEA you know what you are doing when it comes to making changes on the computer.

Second, proceed ahead with said IDEA and make some changes to your email account passwords. Changes that you WILL NOT be able to REMEMBER once you have moved forward!

Third, realize you have just screwed up TOTALLY and start surfing the internet to find solutions. This ties into the “first” mistake as you are still believing you can FIX THE PROBLEM.

Fourth, follow some of the suggestions you found surfing the internet and DIG yourself a little further in the HOLE…

Fifth, start to get paniky! Now the emails aren’t working at all, and the “Enter Network Password” dialogue boxes for both your email accounts are popping up EVERY couple seconds!

Sixth, seek a life line… call outside help. when that doesn’t work. restart your computer, AGAIN!

Think of someone, an expert that you can call, GEEK SQUAD. Torture the poor person, who is unlucky enough to be the one who gets your call, by trying to explain to him what you did and that you really don’t even know what it was you did.

Seven, Get passed off to Comcast! Where at LONG LAST you get one account set up right!

Eight, Send a help request to your domin host requesting your password. Laurie@ldlphoto.com will hopefully be receiving emails again TOMORROW!

THE WHOLE DAY shot! Just like that.

thanks for listening!

(p.s. Our email account has either been hacked, or someone who has a virus, the virus is pulling our tntrio@comcast.net address and sending people spam emails from this account. We have ran numberous virus scans and we don’t have one…)

LOGGING OFF… Thank goodness!
