work is rapping up on the builder’s side of the space, which means soon we will be able to
start our decorating and design!
The weekend before last we headed to Atlanta to one of my favorite stores ever, IKEA. With Calvin’s help I was able to choose a lot of the seating for the
studio.

This past weekend Jim and I made a trip over to Preservation Station here in Nashville. OH I LOVE THIS STORE! I am fascinated with things from the
past. Everything Victorian! We purchased just what I was looking for to use as some design elements in the studio. The photos I’ve taken of the old door
hardware and door knobs should be a hint as to what I am using! The old photos of the children are another obsession. Whenever I am looking through antique stores
I always look through the old photos for ones of young children that I find intresting. These two are a few favorites. I love the expressions of these children, their button up
leather shoes and outfits just jump out to me. The photo of the young girl is a particular favorite. I wonder what the occasion was for her special portrait. I love the detail of the
dress she is wearing and her expression is a mystery to me. The youngsters little feet in their high button up shoes dangling above the step are darling to me.
So work continues on the space. Studio samples are beginning to arrive steadily now with more to order… Much more to do and loving every minute…
All for now…
