Monday afternoon I signed the lease for my photography studio space! I am beyond excited and nervous and thrilled and ready toget started! Lots and lots to get accomplished to move in. The building’s owner is finishing out the ceiling and once that is done we will begin painting, finish the floor and start our design! A trip to IKEA in Atlanta is on the calendar in early April!

Oh, this is not my first business adventure. In the sixth grade I think it was, I had a very lucrative leather key bob business. For .50 cents you got to choose two letters and a choice of color to have them painted! I carried around my notebook and collected orders and the cold hard cash! HA…

I am extremely grateful for the support of my husband Jim! This was just a bit out of his comfort zone, ummm a lot out of his comfort zone, and I thank him for this chance with my business and dream of mine… ♥

Here are some photos I want to share of the building my space is in and the other business that are already there.

these first 3 collages are my space.. lots of natural light. although the majority of my work will still be location. I do have studio work in mind as well.

Other business in the building are Ugly Mugs (coffee house/cafe), Silly Goose (an organic cafe) and Wild Cow (a vegetarian restaurant). My studio space is to the right and behind Ugly Mugs…  the second floor are rented condos.

Rosepepper’s resturant is across the street off Eastland Ave. in the Walden East Nashville area…

I ran across this quote several months ago, while we were just starting to discuss the decision of opening a studio space. Although I am not sailing across the ocean to an unknown world. We are stepping out in faith into circumstances that are not entirely in our control. But I hold onto the belief that the One who does know, will be with us throughout it all!

Thanks for stopping by the blog or taking the time to check out this new bit of exciting news in our families life! I’m sure to be sharing updates as we progress finishing the studio…

until then…

(I am scheduling location sessions at this time.. email or call for info.)
