One benefit of our homeschooling is the ability to travel with Jim occasionally out of state… When we know we are heading on a trip I’ll search field trip ideas for Calvin and I… Earlier this month we traveled with Jim twice to Atlanta. Our field trip adventures took us to two different museums…

Our first visit was to Tellus in Cartersville. We took in an awesome Planetarium show and spent most of the afternoon checking out all the amazing exhibits…

On our second trip we where THRILLED to find out there was an exhibit of the Terra Cotta Warrior’s from China at High Museum in Atlanta. Before we headed out to the museum we watched the videos about the First Emperor that are linked on the museum’s website…  I was not allowed to take any photos of the warriors, though I thought about trying to get away with it several times… But I was allowed, with a photo permit from the museum, to take some of other pieces of art in this huge museum….

I loved this face and glass piece of art… had to get Calvin in the game with it…

this piece is wine bottle foils fastened with medal wire…

Don’t know what we would do without our trusty Tom-Tom on these trips, makes finding these locations a breeze…

WOW, it’s been ages since I’ve updated the blog! I appreciated all the enthusiastic remarks and emails I’ve gotten on my new websites and little photo display at the library.

Thanks for dropping in… I’ll try and not be away so long…
