During my trip to CO., to see my nephew Jesse graduate, I had the honor of a request from my cousin Stacie and her husband Mark for a portrait session. Their home in Windsor provided some wonderful locations for their session, practically in their back yard!

I found that throughout editing this session images I was smiling and taking many a trip down memory lane! Stacie’s mom and my mother are sisters (corrected! thanks for pointing that out!) and we spent the majority of our childhoods together, visiting from Phx. and Flagstaff. She is the first child in her family of 4 sister’s. And with Dee Dee and I, that made 6 girls all fairly close in age. We were a force to be reckoned with!

Mark and Stacie have been married 30+ years and are such a wonderful couple together. They have 3 grown children, 2 daughter’s and one married son, and daughter in law. They have taken amazing vacations all over the world and will be my resource when we venture out someday!

I loved our visit together in CO. and our time during their session, and dinner at the restaurant in their developement. But mostly I LOVE that I have been blessed in my life with people like Stacie and Mark that I can call my family!

Here are a few photos I have chosen to share from their session.

Mark required a few photos for his website of himself. He is so photogentic, he made it easy for me to capture his portraits…

All for now! Thanks for dropping by…

    I love the photos and I’ve always enjoyed your blog. One of your earliest posts was about your philosophy of capturing “living” moments, photos that are windows into who the person is and the relationships in the group. You compared this to the overly staged, stiff photos so many of us have taken in the past (and so delightfully illustrated on Awkward Family Photos). I’ve enjoyed browsing your gallery over the years and admiring how skillfully you have put that philosophy into practice. I haven’t seen anyone that can capture unique family moments as well as you can. Thank you for allowing us the joy of experiencing the fruit of your talent.

    On a side note: you said I am your mother’s sister rather than our mothers are sisters. Not only were the six of us a force to be reckoned with, but it was, and is, a joy to not only have my three sisters (and two step-sisters) to share my life with, but to have two “other sisters” in you and DeeDee. I love you!

    Thank you Stacie! I also went in and corrected the our MOM’s are sisters! :) Glad you like the photos. We have had such good times. I look forward to ones in the future as well… {HUGZ}

I get the newsletter from random arts (a unique creative space hidden in the mountains of western nort carolina) and each and everytime I do I ♥WISH♥

it wasn’t so far away! I’ve had the privilage of wandering through this store admiring all the eye candy and creative pieces of art work. I’ve not had the privilage of

taking any of the classes but vowed to do just that someday. I hope in the not TOO distant future. If  you have the chance to be in their area you should check them out. :)
